One of the greatest resources on the Internet when it comes to everything you need to know about the art and business of songwriting.  This fantastic website created by hit songwriters Clay Mills (Don't Think I Don't Think About It by Darius Rucker, Beautiful Mess by Diamond Rio) and Marty Dodson (Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven by Kenny Chesney, Songs Like This by Carrie Underwood) covers every imaginable angle when it comes to songwriting in addition to offering professional-level mentoring from some of the best in the business.  This is a website that EVERY artist should be utilizing.  You can check it out HERE!

That's My Gig

When you are doing everything you can to make more money from your music, you need a place that actually provides information on PAYING gigs in the music industry.  That is where That's My Gig comes in.  The website is the brain child of professional musician Derek Williams.  He has played for some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Florida Georgia Line and Jake Owen.  That's My Gig features work opportunities for musicians, some of which are with major artists, and provides invaluable information on giving yourself the best possible chance of sticking the audition when you finally get it!  Check out the site HERE!

Indie On The Move

If you are a singer, musician, band, or manager, you would have to be out of your mind to NOT use Indie on the Move. This massive database of venues in North America has become a game changer for a lot of artists, including some clients of Rocket to the Stars. Rick Barker spent two years managing the day-to-day operations of superstar Taylor Swift...and he makes that knowledge and more available to artists and managers via his fantastic membership program. Managing the daily doings of your social media presence can suck up an incredible amount of time. I say that from personal experience. Hootsuite gives you the ability to automate all of your social media platforms. Write your posts and tweets, set what time and day you want them to be sent out, and allow yourself to dedicate your time to other aspects of your music business. PCG Online is a new website created by Bernard and Molly Porter at PCG Nashville, the largest artist development school in Nashville.  PCG Online brings together some of the top people in the music industry and has them lending their expertise in the form of video lessons on an on-demand basis.  Topics include everything from music theory to voice to auditioning for competitions.  The website offers something for everybody!  Learn more by clicking HERE.

Vista Print is a great resource for artists looking for cost-effective printing. They can do everything from business cards for your band to high-quality flyers for your upcoming shows and can even produce custom t-shirts for your merchandise table. Fiverr

Fiverr is a fantastic way to get things done for cheap. It is a vast online community of people with specific talents that will take up jobs for you for just $5.00 (and sometimes a little more depending on the job). Need a new logo for your band's website? Check out samples posted by various graphic designers and tap that person to design YOUR logo. Want somebody to walk around town posting flyers promoting your upcoming show? People on Fiverr will do that for you! Just be sure to read the user reviews for each vendor before using them.
